ঘূর্ণিঝড় অশনির প্রভাবে আজ ১০-০৫-২০২২ সব বিভাগে ঝড়ো হাওয়ার সঙ্গে বজ্রসহ বৃষ্টিপাতের আভাস রয়েছে। কোথাও কোথাও অতি ভারী বৃষ্টিও হতে পারে। সোমবার (০৯ মে) রাতে এমন পূর্বাভাস দিয়েছে আবহাওয়া অফিস। আবহাওয়াবিদ মো. বজলুর রশিদ জানিয়েছেন, দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব বঙ্গোপসাগর ও তৎসংলগ্ন এলাকায় অবস্থানরত ঘূর্ণিঝড় ‘অশনি’ উত্তরপশ্চিম দিকে অগ্রসর ও ঘনীভূত হয়ে প্রবল ঘূর্ণিঝড়ে রূপ নিয়ে সোমবার সন্ধ্যায় পশ্চিম-মধ্য বঙ্গোপসাগর ও তৎসংলগ্ন এলাকায় অবস্থান করছে।
ঘূর্ণিঝড়টি আরও উত্তরপশ্চিম দিকে অগ্রসর হতে পারে। এর একটি বর্ধিতাংশ উত্তর বঙ্গোপসাগর পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত। এ অবস্থায় মঙ্গলবার সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত খুলনা, রাজশাহী, ঢাকা, ময়মনসিংহ, সিলেট, বরিশাল ও চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগের অধিকাংশ জায়গায় এবং রংপুর বিভাগের কিছু কিছু জায়গায় অস্থায়ীভাবে দমকা/ঝড়ো হাওয়াসহ হালকা থেকে মাঝারি ধরনের বৃষ্টি/বজ্রসহ বৃষ্টি হতে পারে। সেই সঙ্গে খুলনা, বরিশাল ও চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগের কোথাও কোথাও মাঝারি ধরনের ভারী থেকে অতি ভারী বর্ষণ হতে পারে। সারা দেশে দিন এবং রাতের তাপমাত্রা প্রায় অপরিবর্তিত থাকবে। ঢাকায় দক্ষিণপূর্ব/পূর্ব দিক থেকে ঘণ্টায় বাতাসের গতিবেগ থাকবে ১০-১৫ কি.মি., যা অস্থায়ীভাবে দমকা হাওয়ার আকারে ঘণ্টায় ৩০-৪০ কি.মি. পর্যন্ত উঠে যেতে পারে।
